Deep garnet-purple colored, it comes barreling out with notes of fresh blackberries, mulberries, and black raspberries, followed by hints of cinnamon stick and lilacs. Full-bodied, the palate is plush and bright with vibrant red and black berry layers and a fine-grained texture, finishing with a refreshing lift. Nice!

97 Points Lisa Perrotti Brown. The 2023 Kenefick Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it bursts with bold notes of juicy plums and cassis, giving way to suggestions of wild sage, licorice, black olives, and mossy tree bark. The full-bodied palate is rich and velvety with a lively line to inject energy into the long, decadent finish.

98 Points Lisa Perrotti Brown. The 2023 Lantz Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it races out of the glass with vibrant notes of black currant jelly, kirsch, and wild blueberries, plus suggestions of dark chocolate, star anise, and menthol. The full-bodied palate is densely laden with rich black and blue fruit layers, with firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and opulent.

The 2024 Project X is a collaboration between two phenomenal wine makers, Mike Smith and Russel Bevan, using the singularly best Cabernet Sauvignon barrel from both Quivet and Lerner Project. It has a dark purple hue and a wildly concentrated and complex bouquet that showcases blackberries, dark plums, and blueberries, harmoniously complemented by notes of graphite, dark chocolate, crushed violets, and exotic spices that leap from the glass. The Quivet Cellars Las Madres Vineyard Whole Cluster Syrah from  is straight up smoking good. NEW,  EXCITING & A GREAT PRICE:  The Quivet Cellars 2022 Syrah Sonoma Coast is deep purple-hued and has a terrific bouquet of ripe red (and some blue) fruits as well as textbook cool-climate Syrah pepper, violets, and gravelly minerality. The Russian River Syrah reveals a youthful ruby/purple color as well as a ripe, peppery, smoky style in its red, black, and blue fruits as well as notes of game, camphor, and spring flowers. It is medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, and downright seamless on the palate. The finish is awash with pure fruit and tannins that are present and finely grained combined with a long lingering finish. It’s drinking right at the beginning of its drink window and should keep nicely through 2035
